An unpleasant situation may arise if a paid parking is selected, but the payment isn`t made. It is calculated by the formula: the cost of an hour of parking * 20. In the case when the car takes a place for the disabled, the price for 60 minutes of parking is multiplied by 30.

Special aspects of parking in Kiev

In 2021, several laws and amendments, that must be taken into account to avoid trouble with the law, were passed:

• obligatory presence of a parking meter or a barrier in paid parking lots;

• payment is made by special tickets in paper or electronic format; alternative - application "Kyiv digital";

• from May 2021, parking lots, which became free due to the lockdown, will be paid again;

• parking lots must be equipped with a special plate, which tells the basic information about the services provided, specifically about prices and methods of payment;

• in the capital, cameras began to function again, capturing violations of traffic rules, but their location isn`t disclosed.
